“This is the day that the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

One of my favorite old classic movies is Pollyanna, it is the story of an optimistic young girl who always found good in every situation.

In this era of instant news, it is easy to focus on the trouble and become negative. However, Christians should by their very nature be optimistic.

Some may say that they are neither pessimistic nor optimistic, but that they are “realistic.“ But if you are a Christian “the reality” is that “this day”, whatever it may bring, is one that the LORD (Jehovah) has made. The, less familiar, verse which precedes this one says; “This was the LORD’S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.“

Whatever this day may bring just remember He made it, purpose in your heart to rejoice and be glad in it.
